The Wheel at ICON Park: A Review with a View (from 400 feet above I-Drive)

February 12, 2021

If you have driven around Orlando, you may have noticed this lit up structure from a distance. The Wheel at Icon Park is visible from the California Grill, Sea World, Universal Studios, and various spots throughout the Orlando area. Standing 400 feet above the ground, it towers over everything nearby with the exception of it’s sister attraction, the Orlando StarFlyer. We have been on a mission to explore more in Orlando and decided this was a great attraction to check out. Read on to learn more about taking a spin on The Wheel…

The Force is Strong on Disney Cruise Line with Star Wars Day at Sea

January 30, 2021

As we approached the main lobby of the Disney Fantasy, we could feel the excitement building in the crowd. The usually bright, multilevel atrium we’d come to recognize had been transformed. Long banners with Galactic insignia hung from above, and red light permeated the space. A familiar melody started to play—the Imperial March—as Stormtroopers armed with blasters lined up to announce the arrival of their leader. The iconic breathing echoed through the air as Darth Vader took his place front and center. “We have intercepted a transmission sent from this area by a rebel spy,” he warned. “Anyone with ties to the Rebel Alliance will be considered a traitor.” It was official. Imperial Troops had infiltrated our ship, and for the next 24 hours, they were on the hunt for rebel spies. Read on to learn more about our Star Wars Day at Sea aboard Disney Cruise Lines…

December 1, 2020

“Why would you book a Disney Cruise for a honeymoon, isn’t it full of kids?” was a question we heard quite often when planning our first voyage on Disney Cruise Line many years ago. And while Disney certainly has plenty of offerings for kids and families to enjoy together, there are surprisingly an abundance of activities meant just for the adult crowd too. We ended up having a blast on our Disneymoon at sea, and it became the first of several Disney sailings for us. One of our favorite adult experiences from our honeymoon has now become a tradition for us. Whenever we book a Disney Cruise Line vacation there is one must-do every time we are onboard: brunch at Palo. Read on to learn more about this drool worthy meal…
