January
We celebrated our 8th anniversary and went on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise which included stops in Jamaica and Grand Cayman. We enjoyed climbing the famous Dunn’s River Falls.
February
Andrew started a new job. While still working with the Federal Aviation Administration, he is with a new contracting firm.
April
Julie launched a new business, JK Creative and has been providing design for a variety of clients across the country. Things have been going great and Julie has been able to provide a pair of internships to local University students.
May
We visited Ocean City, MD with our friends the Hornbergers.
Summer
Included many trips to Deep Creek Lake to spend time with family and friends boating and enjoying the outdoors.
October
Brought one last trip to the lake for the Autumn Glory Festival. Julie and her mom also went to Massachutes for her cousin’s wedding.
November
Was a busy month as Julie traveled to Florida to see family. Andrew went to a couple football games: Raven’s vs. Browns and Ohio State vs. Maryland. We both traveled for her brother’s graduation. We also spent time with Andrew’s family from Ohio during Thanksgiving. It had been a while so it was really great to see everyone.
December
We were ecstatic to go on a 10 day trip to Disney World. The parks and resorts were absolutely stunning with all of the holiday decorations and specialty events. We ate well, experinced a bit of everything, and brought home a few too many souveniers. But it was magical as always.
2017 is shaping up to be an exciting one. Andrew is still working towards his Master’s degree and the end is very much insight. JK Creative is showing all the signs of a better year that will hopefully include more growth and success. We look forward to more adventures and wish everyone an awesome year!
