Frozen beverages at a Disney Cruise Line Sail Away Party

NEW! Zero Proof Mocktail Menus Aboard Disney Cruise Line

May 28, 2024

When sailing away on a cruise vacation many people envision kicking back with a frozen drink in hand as the ultimate picture of relaxation. But these days more and more people are choosing to forgo the fully loaded libations for one reason or another. While we have enjoyed many cocktails on Disney ships over the years, lately in our everyday lives we have been finding ourselves choosing more and more mocktails for a healthier balance. We were a little nervous that if we were looking for an alternative to alcohol while onboard, the only thing available would be super sugary concoctions geared towards kids. But we were ecstatic to learn that Disney Cruise Line had just soft launched a brand new “Zero Proof Cocktails” menu featuring an array of elevated craft mocktails. (This is so new that the restaurant menus weren’t even printed yet!) Read on to learn more about:

  • The brand new Zero Proof Cocktail Menu

  • Special Signature Mocktails

  • And other non-alcoholic drink options

While we enjoy alcoholic beverages (like a good French wine!) sometimes we are looking for healthier alternatives…

NEW! Disney Cruise Line Zero Proof Cocktail Menu

While visiting the Skyline Lounge on our first night, we asked if any mocktails were available and we were presented with a glittery new menu labeled “Zero Proof Cocktails.” We were told that this menu has been developed to be available shipwide in different bars, lounges, and restaurants. (With some exceptions such as the pool bars.) All you have to do is ask to see the special menu. We were impressed with the wide selection of flavors and types of drinks including cocktails, bubbly, and 0.0% beer. You can read descriptions of all of the offerings below and then then keep scrolling to see some of the drinks that we ordered…

Zero Proof Cocktails “La Paloma” and “Spirit of Kentucky” at the Skyline Lounge.

Zero Proof Cocktail “New in Fashion” at the Meridian bar.

Zero Proof Cocktail “La Paloma” at La Piazza.

You can find this pink colored Cipriani Bellini ($5.50) at Palo made with the non alcoholic bubbly and shimmer dust!

Overall we were blown away by the Zero Proof options. You can tell a lot of time was spent crafting recipes that have a similar essence to a full proof libation. For instance the New in Fashion had that smokey taste and even came topped with bacon! The La Paloma had a refreshing zing with grapefruit flavor. We will say that the new drinks took a little longer to make (as bartenders are still getting used to the new recipes) and weren’t always consistent. We ordered the same drink at two different bars and they looked completely different. But we still really enjoyed them. We then discovered that there are some more mocktail options beyond the main menu too!

Other Non Alcoholic Drink Options Aboard Disney Cruise Line

DCL Signature Mocktail Options

We started to notice that each lounge seemed to have one signature non-alcoholic drink that you could only find there. For instance:

  • The Meridian Bar had a “Garden-Tini” featuring Seedlip Garden 108 Non-Alcoholic Gin, freshly muddled cucumbers and lemons, with peppercorn. ($12)

  • The Tube had a “Jubilee” featuring Seedlip Garden 108 Non-Alcoholic Gin, Fever Tree Mediterranean, Cucumber and Rosemary ($10)

It also seems each rotational restaurant is working on a new menu featuring a signature drink. Our server had a tiny reference card in his pocket which looked to have most of the main Zero Proof drink options. But Julie also noticed a drink called “Enchant” which featured butterfly pea. Unfortunately we don’t have a picture of a menu to recall what was in it, or the price, but it was a very delicious and pretty colored drink!

DCL Non-Alcoholic Frozen Delights

For those who love a refreshing frozen beverage poolside, you can request most any blended beverage sans alcohol. (It’s also good to note that we did find that the terminology seemed different with interior locations using “zero proof” and outdoor bars using “virgin” or “non-alcoholic.”) We love “Pina Colovas” (featuring a blend of classic Pina Colada with a raspberry puree) while visiting Disney resorts and like to order them onboard as well. And while at Castaway Cay you have to try the signature “Konch Kooler” featuring a coconut cream blended with passionfruit and orange flavors.

DCL Coffee, Tea, & More

Another spot we seemed to visit alot on this trip was Cove Cafe. This coffee bar offers the best coffee drinks on board and has a great vibe. (And how cute is the Disney coffee art on top of the foam?) While they offer a few mixed drinks, overall this menu has the largest selection of non alcoholic drinks with coffees, teas, kombucha, energy drinks, and more. It’s good to note there is also a juice bar at the spa that offers smoothies and such, although the hours seemed very limited.

So needless to say the options are quite impressive. Gone are the days of being stuck with a soda or juice. The availability of high-quality drinks without alcohol now onboard Disney Cruise Line included more than we could truly try in one week! We loved being able to substitute zero proof options when we didn’t feel like having alcohol and think this is a great offering for a wide variety of people trying to do the same. We are so glad that Disney has spent time developing new menus and are excited to let others know about these offerings. Cheers friends to some delicious zero proof offerings ahead!
